Vampire Academy By: Richelle Mead

Vampire Academy centers around two best friends, Rose Hathawy and Lissa Dragomir. Even as far as vampires go these two are closer and have a much stronger bond.  After running away for two years they are caught and returned to face the ridicule and speculation of their classmates.

St. Vladimir’s academy is a private high school for Miroi (vampires0 and dhampir (halfbloods).  The Miroi are Vampires that are technically Alive, The dhampirs are their guardians and half to attend St. Vladimir’s to learn to protect the Mioroi.  The Dhampir’s protect the Miroi from the Strigoi who are the undead, evil, vampires because they are constantly after the Miroi.

Lissa is the last in her family line and Rose is a dhampir and because of their bond Rose is most likely going to become Lissa’s guardian after they graduate.  But returning to school is more difficult then they originally thought.

Richelle Mead creates a facinating and believable world you will grow close to the characters.  The book is a little darker then most bit along with the vampires this book will also take you through their growth processes and the highschool world we all do or once knew.  Ms. Mead is a terrific writer who takes you through all of the ups and downs wit her charaters.

  1. Since I have the paranormal 999 challenge, this book would really fit in well. 😉

  2. P.S. I just love the look of your blog. I know I have told you that before, but it really is so cool!
